Description

HarvestOl® 12 is an agricultural oil of paraffinic origin, with organic certification, that allows it to obtain stable mixtures and synergy with both protective and systemic fungicides to achieve high protection against Black Sigatoka. Black leaf streak (Black Sigatoka) is caused by the fungus Mycosphaerella fijiensis, the most destructive leaf disease for bananas.

Its high degree of refining makes the product free of aromatics and reactive substances, making it safe for plants and people.

HarvestOl®12 is applied in pure form or in emulsion formulations with fungicides. A combination of HarvestOl®12 agricultural spray oil and fungicides is usually more efficient and effective in preventing plant disease than when used separately.

As a vehicle of fungicides, HarvestOl® 12, allows enough time on the leaf and permits fungicides to act during rainy seasons, while exhibiting low acute toxicity.

Due to the fungistatic effect, HarvestOl® 12 alone could control the disease for 21 days without adding fungicides in specific climate conditions.

Applications & benefits

  • Used as an adjuvant in mixtures with fungicides to help create a protective film not lost with water, due to its affinity with the waxy compounds of the cuticle of the banana plant.
  • It is an agricultural oil of non-ionic mineral origin with fungistatic power.
